Product superiority
The melt exhibits excellent transparency with minimal solid residue and superior mid-to-latethermal stability;
produces low dust emissions; demonstrates low acid value and low amine value; offers brightappearance and good dispersion performance, along with certain antistatic properties, meetingFDA requirements.

Direction of application
Ethylene bis-stearyl amide (EBS) is a high-performance additive renowned for its excellentlubricity, demolding properties, smooth opening characteristics, and antistatic performance. Itfinds extensive applications in various industries including plastics, rubber, coatings, inks, andchemical fibers.

Dosage and Therapeutic Efficacy
1. As a lubricant and release agent: EBS serves as an internal and external slip agent in variousthermoplastic and thermosetting plastics such as ABS, PS, AS, PVC, PE, PP, and POM, enhancingmaterial surface smoothness and demolding performance. In thermoplastic PUR injectionmolding processes, the recommended dosage ranges from 0.1% to 1%. For polyoxymethylene

lubrication applications, the addition amount is 0.20.5%. In ABS engineering plastics, themaximum permissible addition concentration can reach 2%.

2. As a pigment and filler dispersant: In plastic color masterbatches, EBS can enhance thedispersibility and incorporation amount of pigments and fillers, improve processing efficiency,and enhance the vibrancy and gloss of the color masterbatch. The recommended addition rangeis 0.5% to 5%.

3. As a smoothing opening agent: In the production of polyethylene and polypropylene films orsheets, EBS can be used as an opening agent or slipperiness agent at an addition amount of 0.5%

1%. It prevents the occurrence of bubbles (fish eyes) and ensures that the plastic bag openingremains smooth and easy to tear.

4. Rubber industry: EBS can improve the compaction and vulcanization properties of rubber particles during processing. For instance, adding EBS to fluororubber enhances the compaction

and vulcanization performance of rubber particles. Incorporating 1%3% EBS into emulsions ofsynthetic resins and rubbers such as GRS (SBR) demonstrates excellent anti-adhesion andanti-caking effects.

5. Coatings and Inks Sector: During paint manufacturing, adding 0.5%2% EBS enhances saltspray resistance and moisture-proofing properties, improves paint stripper performance, and

boosts surface leveling of baked enamel coatings. When micronized, EBS at 0.5%1% dosageenhances paint system grindability and degassing efficiency for porous surfaces. It serves as amatting agent in inks, furniture polishing agents, and printing inks, while also functioning as aflow aid for powder coatings.

6. Chemical Fiber Sector: In the chemical fiber industry, EBS enhances the heat resistance,weather resistance, and flow properties of polyester and polyamide fibers, while impartingcertain antistatic effects. During the spinning of antistatic nylon fibers, it reduces yarn breakage.

7. Application in daily-use plastic products: By improving the formulation and adding EBSadditives, the surface smoothness of daily-use plastic products can be enhanced.

8. Application in asphalt: Incorporating EBS into asphalt enhances its softening point, reducescold-temperature plastic flow, decreases post-melting viscosity, and simultaneously improves water resistance, acidresistance, and saltwater spray resistance.

The addition amount of EBS typically ranges from 0.1% to 2%, with specific dosage determined byapplication fields, material properties, and product performance requirements. In practicalapplications, pilot-scale experiments are recommended to identify the optimal dosage andapplication method.
